Local Information

    In the cool pines of the Sitgreaves National Forest, at 7600 feet elevation, Forest Lakes, Arizona is ideally suited to accommodate an abundance of seasonal activities.

     For the fisherman, there are 6 high mountain lakes and several streams within short driving distance. In the summer, these waters provide excellent trout fishing. In the winter, you might want to even try your hand at ice-fishing.

Miles & Miles of Hiking and Biking trails are just minutes away and the Ponderosa Cabins provide a great home base for the outdoorsman at any time throughout the year.

    For the Nordic skiing enthusiast, the Forest Lakes area provides many miles of groomed Cross Country trails where you’ll find breathtaking views. (Usage permits are required)
